Synopsis to Seeds of Sorrow series
Book 1 The Tree of Dreams
In the military research city of Renaminda, Rubicon Energy experiments with a new energy source, hoping to ween the United States off fossil fuels. Inside this new generator, the Tree of Dreams, the power generated by human dreams is explored by imagineers, who learn to control their dreams to maximize their energy output. Katz Dawson and Tyler Fallon forge an unlikely friendship and enter the Imagineer program. One hopes to use the Tree of Dreams to make the world a better place. One hopes that inside, he can overcome a tragic past. However, a journey of self-discovery unlocks a dark secret inside the Tree of Dreams: something sinister lurks within its branches and awakens. The only secret strong enough to stop it is one the two boys have yet to discover about themselves.
Book 2 Castles of Sand
Dreamsharing opens up a new social frontier in human relations. The Imagineer program opens an interactive dream school for imagineers. Katz and Tyler use dreamspace to explore their budding relationship. All seems grand in Renaminda until the legendary imagineer, Fay Gen, invites Katz and friends to show off their talents in a dreamspace coliseum. There, they uncover an unsettling side to dreamsharing: not everybody is using dreamspace to learn to ride horses. Disgusted by Fay Gen’s blood sport, Katz and friends intervene. Yet unbeknownst to all, their actions anger an unknown agent who is harnessing the antipathy generated by those who use dreamspace to exploit the dark side of human nature. At the edge of paradise, the floodgates of darkness open. The two boys engage in a desperate battle for survival as an enemy in the shadows unleashes the power of dream invasion in a surprise assault on everyone they love.
Book 3 Roots of Longinus
The motivations of the cloaked agent that attacked Katz and Tyler become clear: to take control of the Tree of Dreams for its own, decidedly evil, purposes. The military moves to protect its assets, recruiting Katz and friends to spearhead an assault on the assassin attacking dreamers throughout Renaminda. Nothing less than a dreamspace war ensues, where the costs are high. And quite real.
Book 4 Prison of Memories
Unable to come to terms with his loss, Katz makes a deal with the mysterious Chess and fades into a dangerous dream paradise. Chess, now in Katz’s body, begins coordinating with the military on a new experiment that promises to unleash the full power of the Tree of Dreams. Stacy, suspicious of this new Katz’s behavior, realizes something sinister is amiss. She goes into dreamspace with her friends in search of Katz’s soul, unaware that her journey is the only hope of preventing an approaching apocalypse.
Book 5 Currents of the Spiritstream
Katz, having reclaimed his body, finds himself in the eye of a storm. Confronting the truth that dreamspace was never a virtual reality, but the boundary between the real world and the spirit world, Katz and friends fight for everything they hold dear. Chess, having breached the barrier between the two dimensions, unleashes the shadowstream upon Renaminda. Before the night is through, Katz must discover a courage in real life to match his power in dreamspace. Tonight, good and evil clash in an epic struggle to determine the fate of the world. Tonight, heroes must be born or everyone in Renaminda will die. Win or lose, the ripples of this faceoff will echo across our world, changing it forever.

Volume 1 Prologue
Added a prologue to the opening of the story. If most of Part 1 is cerebral and internal, the prologue should satiate a little natural urge for external action. The prologue will tell some of the story around Tyler's devastating loss that defines him as he arrives in Renaminda. You don't get all of it though. If you want to know the full back-story, you'll have to wait until Katz finds out.
